Vendare Media Group ("Vendare") was an online performance marketing business and the creator of “InFocus,” touted as the first integrated targeting system capable of delivering maximum performance and value at no extra cost.

Vendare was established in 1999[1], and a major part of the business was owned by Idealab.[2] Sold in 2006, the original Vendare businesses are a part of Epic Media Group (EMG Connexus, Inc.). Originally, the company was headquartered in California with branch offices in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco [3]

The original company Vendare Media Group was acquired by NetBlue[4][5] in the year 2006 to form Connexus. In 2010, Connexus acquired Epic Advertising and became EMG Connexus, also known as Epic Media Group[6].

Vendare Media Group was founded by Keith Cohnin 1999. In 2003, the company purchased Traffic MarketPlace[7][8] from Vivendi Universal, a unit that was run successively by Calvin Lui, Jim Waltz and Chris Pirrone.

InFocus Solution[edit | edit source]

The InFocus solution created by Vendare in 2005 and comprises four basic components[9][10]:

  • InZone™ (for local targeting)
  • InReach™ (for demographic targeting)
  • InContext™ (for contextual targeting)
  • InProfile™ (for behavioral targeting)
