Michael Blend is the Executive Vice President of Media at Demand Media.

Blend has also served as Demand's Executive Vice President of Platform Business and President of eNom, after promotion in 2008 from Senior Vice President, HotKeys. Michael joined Demand Media in 2006 after they acquired his company, HotKeys, a web technology firm. He founded HotKeys in 2001, and served as its CEO until it was sold; its infrastructure is still being used by Demand. From 2001 to 2003, Blend was Vice President of Corporate Development for Aliph, and from 1999 to 2001, he was the Vice President of Corporate Development at WeddingChannel.com. Prior to joining WeddingChannel.com, Blend worked with Darwin Keyboards, a company he co-founded in 1995, which went on to develop the first ergonomic computer keyboards on the market.[1][2][3][4]

Blend holds a patent in the area of computer keyboard design, relating to his time spend with Darwin Keyboards.[5]

Michael received a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from Duke University.[6]
