Technology[edit | edit source]

The DNS system of Instra Corporation is capable of operating with little performance loss, even if a large network outage occurs, because it is deployed in three continents worldwide, uses the latest GeoIP technology, and hosted in state-of-the-art data centers. The company's DNS system is powered by a database engine, which allows real-time updating of domain name zones, and the whole network runs through CISCO equipment.[2]

Instra is a pioneer of ENUM Technology; the company participated in the ENUM Trial, which was launched by the Australian ENUM Registry on June 6, 2005. Instra was the first fully accredited ENUM Registrar to manage ENUM Domains.[3] Instra has been successful in using ENUM to interconnect conventional phones, VoIP-enabled phones, and GSM Wireless services.
