David Chacón Argüello works at Costa Rica's Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz (CNFL), where he has been since 1996. Mr. Argüello is the Coordinador Portal Empresarial (Enterprise Portal Coordinator) and manages projects related to digital signatures and security. Thus, his primary interests at ICANN surround DNSSEC, hijacking, and other security topics. He speaks English and Spanish.
ICANN 43 was his first ICANN meeting; he has been involved in other regional and international industry organizations, such as LACNET.[1]

Mr. David holds a Masters in Computer Science with an emphasis in Telematics and Telecommunications from the Technological Institute of Costa Rica, Bachelors in Computer Engineering from the University of Science and Technology.[2]
