Dan Halloran has been ICANN's Chief Data Protection Officer and Deputy General Counsel since July 2017. He works with John Jeffrey on all ICANN-related legal matters. His area of professional area of interest is gTLD registrar and registry matters.[1][2]

Dan is a graduate of Loyola Law School at Loyola Marymount and has studied at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma of México.[3] Dan is fluent in Spanish, familiar with Portuguese, and has studied Mandarin Chinese.[4]
Career History[edit | edit source]
Halloran is one of the longest-serving employees at ICANN, having joined the organization in May 2000. At ICANN he has worked at several posts, including Registrar Liaison, Chief Registrar Liaison, and Acting Secretary.[5]
