Chris Mondini has been the Managing Director and VP of Stakeholder Engagement in Europe for ICANN since January 2020.[1]

Career[edit | edit source]

From January 2013 to January 2020, Mondini was a Vice President of Business Engagement for ICANN, where he worked to build relationships with companies beyond the domain name sector, by educating global businesses on the role of ICANN as well as increasing cross-cultural dialogue about topics of Internet Governance.[2] He was the Chief of Staff at ICANN from September 2011 to December 2012. In that role, he provided strategic advice and direction for the CEO and Executive Team of ICANN and served as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders.[3]

Mondini is a former management consultant, United States diplomat, and corporate investigator. His diverse history and degrees in Economics and International Relations inform his work at ICANN.[2]

He is a regular ICANN meeting attendee.[4]

Mondini has a bachelor's Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a master's from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).[3]

Fun Facts[edit | edit source]

His greatest life achievement is swimming across the Amazon River, and he often professes, "I always assume good intentions."[4]
