Achievements

Carolin Silbernagl is Co-Founder and Chairwoman of dotHIV .hiv, which she and her team launched in 2010.[1] She is also the Project Manager at sdw (Stiftung der deutschen Wirtschaft), where she directs the start up qualification programm "Herausforderung Unternehmertum".[2][3]

She began the .hiv initiative in order to extend HIV/AIDS awareness into a consistent Internet namespace, and it is her goal that .hiv domains will become the red ribbon of the digital age. dotHIV will operate as a nonprofit organisation and is incorporated as a charitable association under German law. Domain sales are exclusively aimed at generating funds for HIV projects around the world and reducing the stigma of the infection. It is the first proposed TLD aimed at creating and fostering charitable opportunities.[4]
